I am a homeowner and my primary (not rental) permanent residence is located in a South Carolina coastal county (Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Jasper, Marion, or Williamsburg)

I have homeowners insurance on my home

My home is site-built or manufactured*/modular

My home has no previous existing extreme damage

The home and homeowner together have not previously received an utilized a SC Safe Home grant

I understand that I am responsible to my contractor for all mitigation costs in excess of the SC Safe Home grant amount awarded and that the grant award is based on the following award types:

Hurricane Shuttering and Protective Barrier Systems Award Installation of hurricane shuttering and protective barrier systems meeting SC Safe Home Opening Protection Guidelines	Non-matching and Matching: $3,000.00

I understand that if my property is a mobile home, I will not qualify for roof or opening protection mitigation*

* Grant funds are available for inspection and repair or replacement of manufactured home piers, anchors, and tie/down/anchoring systems limited to $500 for a single-wide unit, $700 for a double-wide unit and $900 for a triple-wide unit installation. A certificate of occupancy from the local building code department must be provided showing that anchors and tie-downs were originally installed on the home prior to it being occupied.
