Does My Home Qualify?                          
  To qualify for a SC Safe Home grant the                        
  Home must meet the following requirements:                      
                               
  · The home must be located in the coastal region of South Carolina                    
  · The home must be owner-occupied; and                        
  · Site-built or manufactured*/modular; and                      
  · The home must not have existing, extreme previous damage; and                    
  · The home and homeowner together have not previously received and  utilized a SC Safe Home grant.                  
  *Grant funds are available for inspection and repair or replacement of  manufactured home piers, anchors and tie-down anchoring systems limited to $500 for a single-wide unit, $700 for a double-wide unit
   and $900 for a triple-wide unit installation.  A Certificate of     Occupancy from the local building code department must be provided showing that anchors and tie-downs were originally installed prior to the
   home being occupied.

  All  completed SC Safe Home applications must include a completed SC Safe Home Inspection Report that has been completed by a participating Safe Home contractor.    
  The cost of the inspection is $150 that is paid by the homeowner.
